Quality Education
For the most vulnerable children, education is lifesaving. Not only does it provide safety and protection, it also instills hope for a brighter future. PATH has reached out over 6500 disadvantaged children from classes I to X through innovative teaching & learning in Kolkata, South 24 Parganas & Murshidabad with particular attention to girls & special inputs in Spoken English &personality development for children in classes XI & XII.
Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation or CCE is a step taken by the government to improve the student’s performance by assessing all aspects of a student’s development on a continuous basis. The objective of CCE is to encourage the transition of the teaching learning experience from being a means to perform well in examinations, to being a platform of actual learning for both curricular subjects as well as co-curricular areas.
To make this possible PATH has developed lesson plans based on the government curriculum CCE and compiled them into a module known as “KhelteKhelteSikhneKaMazaa” to facilitate teaching and learning in the form of play based activities.
PATHs Education Programme reaches out to students in schools during school hours and through community based learning centres after school hours.
The Government schoolteachers are implementing these lesson plans in the classrooms with support from PATH’S facilitators during school hours. The teachers in the Community Based Learning Centres also implement these lesson plans for children after school hours. The objective of applying these lesson plans is to ensure smooth and effective transition of children from one class to the next. The application of these lesson plans assures that the class wise & subject wise syllabus is completed through the academic year, making children ready for the next class.
