Building Safe, Sanitized & Strong Schools & Communities
Providing access & knowledge to improved hygiene and sanitation facilities for the most marginalized urban and rural families has contributed to better health of the children and communities at large. PATH over the years has created access to water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in urban slums and government schools.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) & Teaching Learning Aids
To add value to the learning experience of children in government schools we have been building infrastructure facilities. To make class rooms/school buildings attractive, learning aid paintings on the walls and behaviour change paintings have been provided. To create access to proper water & sanitation, drinking water and sanitation facilities have been constructed/renovated to ensure basic hygiene in schools. To maintain and sustain these facilities the teachers, Child Cabinet members and other stakeholders have been empowered through regular meetings, trainings and workshops. The operation and maintenance of facilities is important to monitor the impact of WASH in schools. It also assists in taking appropriate measures to improve children’s health.
