Farming communities in India are an enormous resource that can contribute to achieving the goal of no poverty, zero hunger and gender equality. PATH’s work with farmer’s, both men and women aims at addressing the challenges of compromised agricultural growth by ensuring Quantifiable improvement in Production & Productivity, reducing the yield gap with focused interventions, maximizing returns to farmers and improve soil fertility.

To ensure organic farming practices, PATH has been training farmers to produce organic fertilizer & pesticides through inputs in various techniques such as- vermin composting (for large scale production); liquid manure (for home/kitchen gardens) and organic pesticide.

PATH is promoting of Self-Help Groups with the aim of poverty alleviation and strengthening the position of women socially and economically. Women are being empowered with skills and knowledge of managing finances, alternative livelihood training in kitchen gardening & livestock raring with an aim to improve nutrition security and supplement household income. The primary rationale behind this model is to help improve the nutrition status of small and marginal farmers and their families, providing them with an assorted mix of vegetables and a stable income for a considerable stretch of the year.
